This is key for developers making download-only games (like us at Queasy with Sound Shapes) because our main way of promoting games (the web browser) is now the same place people can buy them! We can now post links to Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr that go directly to where people can buy our games - it’s direct. No more trying to remember…
“I know there was something I was supposed to do when I got home…”
Sound Shapes went on sale as part of the Holiday Essentials promotion at Sony. Starting today pick up Sound Shapes for $10.49 instead of the regular $14.99. And if you’re a PS Plus member you save even more – it’s only $7.35.
Remember that you automatically get both PS3 and PS Vita versions of the game for this price. The promo runs until January 7th, 2013 in North America only and includes a ton of other PS3 and PS Vita games. For all the details click here.
The holidays are upon us and things are getting festive here at Queasy Games! Between launching Sound Shapes, reviews of the game, awards, and an awesome Community, we have a lot to be thankful for – it’s been a great year! And because you’re one of our good friends, we made you a gift. Oh, it’s okay you didn’t get us anything – playing our game, creating amazing levels, and just being you is more than enough.
Go ahead… open it.
Yup, a Holiday Sound Pack. Do you like it? Five new Christmas-themed instruments from classic carols to create your own holiday tunes – because there’s no such thing as too much Christmas music!
How do you get them? Just turn on Sound Shapes on your PS3 or PS Vita, connect to the internet, and they’ll automatically appear.
Oh really, we’re so glad you like them and we hope you enjoy them over the holidays. Anyway, we need to get going (the reindeer are getting restless) but from everyone here at Queasy Games and the whole Sound Shapes team, we wish you and your loved ones all the best and a happy holiday!
Sound Shapes user ‘SeReVo’ mixed a killer 8 minute track in Sound Shapes. It builds, climbs, falls, chills, and sounds so good we found ourselves just letting in play in the background as we worked.
The whole mix was done entirely in the Sound Shapes editor and really shows what it can do. We especially like @ 3m15s where he’s grouping and moving notes on the fly to completely change the mix and also the section @ 4m38s summoning the ghosts of Daft Punk’s Homework album.
